Often times we look at the place in our lives and wonder where do we fit? Is there enough space or room for me? Is there room for my kind of gift, idea, my expression? With so much going on and with such an ease of access to broadcasting ourselves, it does get to a point where we question our value and our importance. I'm here to let you know and even myself, F I L L THE S P A C E!

For a while, I've wondered how do I break out of sitting in the back. I've also wondered if it was necessary for me to come out of the back. And all in those same thoughts, I questioned my placement, as to do I belong in the back, do I belong on the side lines, etc. Have you felt like this? Maybe. I thought about something a few months ago and it was that people always admire how bright the stars shine, but they forget to acknowledge how vast the sky is. This hit me hard, because without the sky, and darkness, what would the stars have to balance them and to make them shine so bright.

So, now that you may get my drift, I'm writing this article in hopes to inspire the quiet soul, the hiding soul, the one that feels like they've been overlooked. I've got some things for you:

  1. Recognition doesn't always matter. It doesn't always matter that they see you or understand who you are or what you bring to the table.

  2. You are who, you are. That's what's really important. Your uniqueness is what makes you, you. SN: I'm sick of ya clones. lol.

Ever listened to a song and loved the background more than the song? Ever read book and cared more about the supporting characters than the main one? Ever move in the pool and almost immediately the space filled by your body is replaced with water? Love, that's the space. Fill the space because it's just as important as the object occupying it. This picture was dope because who would know how beautiful a mountain was if it didn't have the defining factors like the sky, the clouds, the sun, etc. Take away everything from the picture and leave just one element and it loses its importance, creativity, and/or beauty. I'm writing to reassure you the space is important. In filling that space, just get in there and be you! Be who you were created and called to be. Whether you shine in the front or the back, it's a communal effort, and we all bring balance to one another. You never know you could be the reason someone else hasn't reached their potential because you're the help they may need.
